Overnight care, so the house can sleep
Nights are where families wear out first. An overnight caregiver covers the hours when falls, wandering, feeds and worry happen — so whoever has been carrying it can sleep.
Awake nights and sleeping nights
Decide which you need before you look. On an awake night the caregiver stays up the whole shift. On a sleeping night they rest in the home and get up when needed. Say which, and how often somebody usually needs help, because it changes who is right and what is fair to pay.
What overnight care often includes
- Help to the bathroom and back, and incontinence care.
- Turning and repositioning, and watching for falls.
- Calm company through confusion or restlessness.
- Night feeds and settling for a newborn.
- A written note in the morning of how the night went.
Hours that cross midnight
An overnight shift starts one day and ends the next. On Kalvri you set the start and end times, and a shift that ends before it starts is read as an overnight one — so nobody is matched to a 10pm to 6am shift they cannot actually work.
How Kalvri helps you find them
Kalvri is an iPhone app, not an agency. You say what the care really looks like, and Kalvri ranks every caregiver whose hours, skills, languages, distance and rate fit, with the reason each one was chosen. Each morning it suggests the one who fits best.
- What you require comes first. Everyone who can cover your hours, your budget and the care you described is ranked ahead of anyone who can't, and somebody who has said no to something you need is never suggested.
- Each caregiver arrives with the reason they were chosen, in plain words. What they told Kalvri is labelled as theirs, because Kalvri verifies nothing.
- When you both say yes, a private conversation opens. Ask for references, ask for a time, and decide for yourself.
- You agree the rate with your caregiver and pay them directly. Kalvri takes no fee and no cut.
