Marketplace Agreement
The introduction-only model, acceptable use, and the no off-platform payment posture.

1. What Kalvri is — and isn't
Kalvri is a coordination and matching platform — a neutral venue. We are not your employer, agent, agency, payment processor, escrow agent, fiduciary, or insurer. We surface compatibility suggestions and host the conversation; we do not vet, employ, supervise, control, or pay anyone, we are not a party to any arrangement between users, and we do not adjudicate disputes.
2. Compatibility suggestions
Each day we surface a most-compatible match and a ranked set of suggestions, based on practical factors like skills, schedule, specialties, languages, and distance. Suggestions are not endorsements, recommendations, or assurances of safety or suitability, and a suggestion never means we have checked or approved a person.
3. No off-platform circumvention or payment
Please keep early conversations on Kalvri so the safety tools and the evidence trail work for you. When you decide to work together, you arrange payment, scheduling, and your agreement directly with each other. Kalvri never holds your money, takes no cut of a caregiver's pay, and is not involved in or responsible for any transaction between users.
4. Family responsibilities
- Conduct your own diligence — interviews, references, and any checks you want.
- Make your own hiring decision and supervise any care; the choice of who to trust is yours.
- Confirm you have the authority to share any information about a care recipient.
- Understand that you may have household-employer, tax, or insurance obligations, and consider consulting a professional.
5. Caregiver responsibilities
- Keep your profile and credentials honest and current.
- Only claim credentials you actually hold, and be clear about anything you self-report.
- Make sure you are legally eligible to perform, and properly licensed for, the work you take on.
- Carry any insurance appropriate to your work and handle your own taxes.
6. Ratings and reputation
Ratings go both ways: families rate caregivers and caregivers rate families. Ratings must be honest and based on real interactions. Manipulating, trading, buying, or retaliating through ratings is prohibited. Ratings reflect users' own opinions, not Kalvri's.
7. Safety, reporting, and disputes
You can report or block another person at any time. Kalvri can provide the evidence trail of on-platform messages on request, but Kalvri does not investigate, mediate, or adjudicate disputes between users — those are between the users involved. For emergencies, contact your local authorities.
8. Fees (the complete schedule)
Kalvri is free for caregivers — always, with no subscription, application fee, or cut of pay. Kalvri's only charges are:
- The Kalvri membership (families only; optional) — an auto-renewing subscription billed through Apple In-App Purchase, on the terms in the Terms of Service.
- A 1% platform service fee on the optional in-app hiring payment — only if and when that feature is enabled — charged to the family on top of the caregiver's rate (the caregiver keeps the full rate), with the all-in total shown before you confirm.
- The ID-check fee — if a family requests the optional in-chat identity check, the fee is shown at request time and is only charged if the caregiver completes the check.
There are no listing fees, placement fees, or commissions on wages, and Kalvri never holds, escrows, or takes custody of the money paid for care.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or remove accounts that break this Agreement, misuse the marketplace, or put others at risk, at our discretion and without liability.
