We don't vet anyone
Kalvri runs no background checks and vouches for no one, and every match in the app says so. If you want a check, ask in the conversation: the caregiver can order one on themselves from Checkr and share the link. Check references. Meet in person. Trust yourself.
We never touch the money
No escrow, no processing, no commission, no service fee. You and your caregiver agree a rate and settle it between you, exactly as you would with anyone else you hire.
We rank on the work, never the person
Skills, schedule, specialties, languages, distance, rate. Age, race, religion and the rest are not weighted lightly — they are absent from the matching code entirely.

How does Kalvri choose who to show me?
From what you tell it: the days and hours you need, the help that matters, the languages spoken at home, how far you’ll travel and your budget. The caregivers who meet all of it come first, ranked by fit, and each morning Kalvri suggests the one who fits best and writes down why.
Does Kalvri check caregivers’ backgrounds?
No. Kalvri runs no background checks and verifies no credentials. Every match says so. You can ask a caregiver, in the conversation, to share a check they ordered on themselves from Checkr. Ask for references and their licence number too, and meet in person before anyone is alone in your home.
How do I pay my caregiver?
Directly, at the rate you agree. Kalvri has no payment rail, takes no commission and charges no service fee. Nothing about the money passes through the app.
What does Kalvri cost a family?
Matching is free, and so are your first conversations. A Kalvri membership opens every conversation after that: $79.99 a year with a 3-day free trial for new members, or $9.99 a week. It is billed by Apple and you can cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Each friend who joins through your code opens more free conversations, and a conversation that is open stays open.
Can I book regular care?
Yes. In the conversation, ask for a few hours, a day, a few weeks or months, or the same hours every week until either of you ends it. Kalvri keeps the agreement and shows you who’s coming up. You pay your caregiver directly.
What if I’m not sure who to trust?
That feeling is correct, and it is the reason we never tell you someone is safe. Use the references, the conversation and the first shift. The decision is yours, and we’d rather you take it slowly.
