Medication aide jobs in private home care

Families caring for someone on several medications need more than reminders. A med-certified aide who can give medication where the state allows it is one of the hardest people for a family to find.

What families need from a med aide

  • Giving medication on a schedule, and keeping a written record.
  • Watching for side effects and telling the family what you see.
  • Personal care, transfers and daily routines alongside it.
  • Care through diabetes, heart conditions and recovery after surgery.

Know your scope

What a medication aide may do differs from state to state, and from what a nurse may do. Tell families exactly what your certification allows, and in which state. Kalvri matches on the medication help a family describes, so families who need more than you are allowed to do are not put in front of you.

How Kalvri works for caregivers

Caregivers never pay Kalvri anything. Until Kalvri opens on the App Store you apply once, and a person reads every application. In the app you tell Kalvri your hours, your rate, your skills and what you will not do, and families whose needs you meet see you, ranked by fit.

  • No fee to apply, no commission, and every conversation is free on your side. The family pays you directly, and every dollar is yours.
  • Families who need work you have said you won't do, or more than the hours or distance you set, are not put in front of you.
  • What you say you will not do is respected. Kalvri never pushes you toward work you have ruled out.
  • You talk with a family before anything is agreed, and you can review the families you work for.

Apply once, free

Good to know

Questions, answered plainly.

No fine-print voice here. If something matters, it belongs in normal-sized type.

Does it cost anything to find work on Kalvri?

No. Caregivers never pay: not to apply, not to match, not to talk to a family. There is no commission: the family pays you directly and Kalvri never touches the money.

How do I apply?

Until Kalvri opens on the App Store, you apply: about fifteen minutes about the work you actually do. A person reads every one, you hear back either way, and if it's a yes we send you the App Store link the day Kalvri opens.

Will families see that I am a med-certified aide?

They see what you tell Kalvri, shown as your own words, not as a badge. Kalvri verifies nothing, so bring your certification number; careful families will look it up.

Who can apply to Kalvri as a caregiver?

Anyone 18 or over who can work in the US, has an iPhone, and has been paid to do this work: companions, home health aides, CNAs, med-certified aides, nurses, nannies, babysitters and newborn care specialists. The application asks about your experience, six real situations, and two professional references.
